Deviation Actions
The LegoFanClub Movie Scene Contest opens today! The rules are going to be pretty much the same as they always have been, but just in case, here they are again. The rules in blue apply to all contests, and the rules in red apply to this contest in particular.
It has to be made out of Lego bricks: No off-brands allowed.
It cannot be glued, painted, stickered, or otherwise modified using non-Lego means.
It must be built for real: Computer programs like LDD don't count.
The entry must be sent to the club via a link in a note, and *not* in a comment.
The scene must contain at least one minifigure that looks like the character from the movie it represents. (eg. It wouldn't work to have a Santa Claus minifig playing Klaatu in "The Day The Earth Stood Still")
The Deviation must include the movie's title and a caption from the scene, either in the artist's comments or name. (eg. "You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling." from Inception.)
Try not to do something too simple, like using the official sets to make a scene from Pirates of the Caribbean or Star Wars. (That doesn't mean those movies are off-limits, but be creative)
Have fun!
I will be accepting entries for the contest up until July 25th, at which point voting will begin. Entries for the contest must be a new deviation (posted within the period of the contest, July 1st - 25th). Please submit your contest entry by putting a link to the deviation in a note, and sending it to the club. Please do *not* put the link in a comment, or submit it to the group's Featured Gallery, or they will not be accepted.
There was a question about having a separate contest for creations made using LDD (Lego Digital Designer). Unfortunately, I cannot manage a whole new division of contests at this time.
I think that's all that I need to address, but if there's anything else, I'll be sure to look into it. So now, let's get building!

IMPORTANT!! New Featured Folder!
It's come to my attention that our gallery folder "Featured 3" has reached capacity, there's just so many cool Lego creations out there! As a result, I've created a "Featured 4" folder that will now be the folder for submitting your deviations to!
From now on, until that one fills up too, please submit all your Lego deviations to the "Featured 4" folder! I look forward to seeing them all! Thank you!

New New Year's Resolution
It's been over a year since my last entry, talking about revising the folders for submission. The internal admin talks on that stalled at some point and never got going again. So, I'm going to go ahead and get things started.
The idea is as follows: A slight revision to the rules (for the sake of clarity), and a complete overhaul of the folders system. Instead of everything going into the Featured folders, we'll have things organized as follows.
MOCs Most Lego fans know MOC stands for My Own Creation. This folder would feature custom Lego System and Technic builds, large and small! There will probably need to be an MOCs 2 folder, mayb
New Year's Resolution!
Everyone wants 2017 to be a better year than 2016, and for this club, a good way to start would be to clear up all the confusion that there's been regarding our submission policy. If we can have that cleared up, then we can get submissions coming in again, and keep the club a little more active than it's been for the past year. So I've come up with a plan that I'll lay out here, for you all to give your feedback on. I'd like to put it to a vote, too, to see what you all think.
Regarding Content
Before the actual proposal though, I think it's important to establish the objective of the LegoFanClub on DeviantArt. Obviously the main objecti
Challenge 07: Microscale (continued)
Due to a lack of submissions, the deadline for Challenge 07 has been extended until the end of July. I realize that I never actually specified the original deadline, and that's my bad. But now there's a deadline, and you all have a few more weeks to come up with something and get it in!
Remember, it can be a microscale of any official Lego set, or a creation of your own. The only stipulation is that it be smaller than the original, and still look like the same thing.
